LY Community Health Centre successfully hosted a transformative Maternal and Child Health Camp on Saturday, 30th May 2026, under the theme “Transforming Maternal and Child Health.” The event brought together expectant mothers, children, healthcare professionals, students, and community members for a day dedicated to improving maternal and child health outcomes.

The camp offered a wide range of free healthcare services, including antenatal classes, free ultrasound scans, immunisation services, and comprehensive antenatal check-ups. The initiative aimed to empower mothers with knowledge and provide essential healthcare services that contribute to safer pregnancies and healthier children.

As part of the outreach program, maternal kits and essential maternal equipment were distributed to expectant mothers to support them throughout their pregnancy journey. In addition, food items and clothing were distributed to vulnerable families, bringing relief and hope to many members of the community.

Healthcare professionals and volunteers also conducted health education sessions on maternal nutrition, child care, immunisation, family health, and the importance of regular antenatal attendance. These sessions encouraged mothers to take an active role in safeguarding their health and that of their children.

The event registered an impressive turnout, with many mothers and children benefiting from the free services offered. Beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the organizers and sponsors for their generosity and commitment to improving community health.

The successful medical camp was made possible through the collaboration and support of International Paramedical Institute (IPI), Maya International Paramedical and Nursing School, IPI Health Centre, LY Community Health Centre, and the Rotaract Club, whose contributions played a vital role in delivering healthcare services and support to the community.

The management of LY Community Health Centre extends sincere appreciation to all healthcare workers, student volunteers, partners, sponsors, and community leaders who participated in making the event a success.

Through partnerships and community engagement, LY Community Health Centre remains committed to promoting accessible healthcare and improving maternal and child health outcomes for all.
